It's been announced that Attack on Titan is getting a new anime adaptation but it is not really what the people have been waiting for. It's just the anime adaptaion of the parody manga Attack on Titan: Junior High by Saki Nakagawa. The anime adaptation is being handled by Production I.G. and it is set to air this October in Japan.
The story follows Eren and Mikasa entering Titan Jr High, a school where humans and titans study in the same area in coexistence.Because of the traumatic event, where the Colossal Titan ate his lunch back in middle school, Eren hates the Titans, and is constantly trying to find a way to rid the earth of their kind.
